The GFWC Manhattan Woman's Club is offering scholarships to graduating high school students pursuing higher education.

All students who live in the Manhattan Grade School district are eligible to apply.

 

*Students must provide a letter stating the following:

    1.  Personal data

    2.  Qualifications

    3.  Goals in life / Career choice

    4.  Extra curricular activities

    5.  Any current or past employment  (Where, When, What they did, and           Contact information)

    6.  High School required community service hours (Where, What they did, and Contact information)

    7.  Community Volunteer Service done (Where, What they did, and Contact information)

    8.  School they plan to attend / Have they applied, been accepted or enrolled yet.

    9.  Reasons they are applying for the scholarship.

*A High School Transcript is required.

*Two letters of recommendation --  Principle, teacher, school counselor, employer, etc NO RELATIVES!

 

The deadline to apply is March 25th, 2009.  Please submit all letters and transcripts to Tracy Lenard 15498 Ashley Ct, Manhattan, IL 60442.

Payment of Scholarships will be made to the Student Financial Aid Office in the Student's name by one installment for the fall semester.  Verification of enrollment will be required for funds to transfer.
